Reports

Create, design, and deliver PDF reports — including templates for scheduled automations.

Reports library

Open Reports from the project menu to see all reports and templates. Use search and filters to find a report quickly.

Templates are marked with a Template badge and are intended for recurring automations.

Create a report

Click New report to open the editor. The Overview tab covers name, title, subtitle, report type, and date range.

Report types include dashboard-based, project summary, meter tree, and custom layouts depending on your data sources.

  1. Go to Reports → New report.
  2. Enter a name and choose the report type.
  3. Set the date range (preset or custom).
  4. Configure Content, Design, and Delivery tabs.
  5. Save, then Generate or Test to preview.

Templates and rolling dates

Enable Use as template when a report will be run on a schedule. Templates should use rolling presets (This month, Last 7 days) so each run covers the correct relative period.

Avoid fixed custom date ranges for templates — they will not move forward with the schedule. The editor shows a warning when a template uses fixed dates.

  • A run today preview shows what period a scheduled template would cover.

Design and delivery

The Design tab controls page size (A4 or Letter), margins, headers, footers, theme, and number formatting. Changes auto-save and refresh the print preview.

The print preview panel shows an A4-proportioned canvas with Screen and PDF preview modes. Use Generate PDF for production output suitable for physical printing.

The Delivery tab sets email recipients, subject lines, template style, and PDF attachment options. An email preview shows the branded message before you schedule delivery.

  • Choose PDF preview mode to see page breaks and print margins before generating.
  • Email templates include Default, Dark, Light, Compact, and Contrast — preview each in the Delivery tab.
  • Use Send test email to verify recipients receive the correct template and attachment settings.

Physical printing tips

Generated PDFs use full A4/Letter dimensions with your configured margins — no scaling shrink. For best results, print from the downloaded PDF at 100% scale.

Charts and tables are optimised for print with page breaks between major sections. Pack reports honour cover page and section break settings.
